A few animated graphics is fine, but try not to overwhelm your blog with annoying pop-ups or overdone ads. Use fonts that are clearly legible and in a dark enough color to be easily read.

UPDATE CONTENT REGULARLY - To keep readers, and search engine crawlers coming back to a blog, content needs to be continually updated. Readers will come back to a blog that is updated at least one to three times per week.

ADD MULTIMEDIA - Text entries are valuable, but adding multimedia keeps a blog reader engaged for a longer period of time. By creating a variety of content, readers will be more likely to revisit or subscribe to your blog.
